We’ve reported on a host of topics related to the COVID-19 pandemic via the Business As Unusual posts we have been featuring in recent weeks (that have somehow turned into months). When we started these reports, we intended to inform our audience about the happenings in the industry related to the shutdown. And honestly, I had no idea how long we would be writing them.
While I’d prefer to tell you that we’ll be stopping Business As Unusual posts, the reality is that the need for information on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has never been greater than it is today, and certainly not as great as it will be tomorrow.
We’ve hit a point in the crisis where the effects are tangible. We’ve all seen how the pandemic has forever altered the hospitality industry. Dealers are navigating a landscape that’s also forever changed. And I’m not talking furloughs, salary cuts, or job eliminations, although those are taking place throughout the industry, I’m talking business practices related to customers’ needs. What do your customers need now that they didn’t need in the before days? What do customers not need anymore? How are you going to adapt to meet those needs?
We feel the time is right to host a deep-dive into how the pandemic has impacted the dealer channel and will be hosting “Survival Tactics in a COVID-19 World,” a two-part webinar series with The Cannata Report’s Advisory Board: A.J. Baggott, RJ Young; Deb Dellaposta, Doing Better Business, Inc.; Steve Gau, Marco, Inc.; Jim George, Donnellon McCarthy Enterprises; Troy Olson, Les Olson Company; and Doug Pitassi, Pacific Office Automation. Moderated by CJ Cannata and me, and exclusively presented by GreatAmerica Financial Services, the webinars will delve into the significant issues dealers are facing.
Our first webinar is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, at 2:30 PM EDT/1:30 PM CDT/11:30 PDT and will include A.J. Baggott of RJ Young; Jim George of Donnellon McCarthy Enterprises, and Doug Pitassi of Pacific Office Automation. Our second webinar will be Wednesday, June 3, at 2:30 PM EDT/1:30 PM CDT/11:30 PDT and include Deb Dellaposta of Doing Better Business; Steve Gau of Marco, and Troy Olson of Les Olson Company.
Our Advisory Board comprises the channel’s most astute dealers. We know our audience will benefit from their collective expertise, breadth of experience, and the perceptive strategies they are using to navigate today’s marketplace.
