The COVID-19 pandemic has had a dramatic effect on where and how we work. For those of us who are still fortunate to be employed, it’s time to adapt to a new way of working or learn new things in order to better perform our jobs. That’s hard even during the best of circumstances, but even more difficult during the worst.
During the past few weeks, I have written many articles, shared information, and offered personal commentary related to the COVID-19 pandemic in our Business as Unusual series. In the next few weeks, I expect to be writing many more. The challenge is finding something new to write about. I don’t think any of us need to read another article or blog post about how to effectively work remotely. If you haven’t figured that out by now, you likely never will. While remote work distractions are different in a world of economic uncertainty and employment security as compared to before the pandemic, the current environment can provide us with an opportunity to learn new things that can be applied to our jobs.
With that in mind, I’d like to share with you a blog post by Content Marketing Specialist Katie Lanpher of GreatAmerica Financial Services Corp. titled “Using 1:1 Video: Staying Engaged with Your Team, Industry Peers, and Customers/Prospects When Working Remotely.”
The blog offers helpful tips and tricks for creating your own 1:1 video (Spoiler alert: It’s not that complicated.) as well as two equally informative videos. I give the blog and videos two thumbs up!
