Owings Mills dealership’s footprint continues to grow regionally.
Centric Business Systems, a provider of document management technology in the Mid-Atlantic region, has acquired Carefree Office Technologies, Inc., an office technology dealer located in Northern Virginia.
With this acquisition, Centric’s footprint extends from its headquarters in Owings Mills, Maryland, throughout the Mid-Atlantic from Philadelphia, southern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington D.C., as well as Richmond and now Fairfax, Virginia. This is another example of a dealership with an expanding regional footprint. Centric President Rick Bastinelli has done a superb job of growing his dealership since acquiring it in the early 1990s.
“This acquisition allows Centric to gain greater density in our regional footprint and provide our world class service to the Carefree customers in Northern Virginia,” said Bastinelli. “I am extremely excited to welcome members of the Carefree team and their customers to Centric.”
Carefree, located in Fairfax, Virginia, has more than 24 years experience in the document management industry and services over a thousand devices.
The combined companies will provide more value to customers with a larger infrastructure, increased support to a growing customer base, and significantly expanded allocation of resources that further enhance customer support and satisfaction, according to a Centric press release. As a result of this acquisition, Centric will achieve more than $60 million in annual revenue and employee more than 260 people.
With acquisitions trending in the imaging industry, we expect to see Centric’s footprint continue to grow as it inches closer and closer to becoming a $100 million dealership.
