Greetings Members and Friends, Access a PDF of the October issue or the digital articles here.
It is a distinct honor to present our October issue and The Cannata Report’s 35th Annual Dealer Survey. The title for this, the first of two Survey issues, “The Calm Before the COVID Storm,” is particularly appropriate as our findings examine dealers’ financial performance and observations about their technology, solutions, and services providers pre-pandemic (2019). For most dealers, 2019 was a very good year. This year has been a different story. As Editor-in-Chief Scott Cullen points out this year’s Survey may be our most interesting ever because it reflects respondents’ 2019 financial performance. The dealer revenue-related information in this Survey will serve as a baseline for the financial damage we expect to see in next year’s Survey, but also in future Surveys as the independent dealer channel recovers–and it will.
You can access The Cannata Report’s October 35th Annual Dealer Survey issue PDF on the upper left-hand corner of the thecannatareport.com’s MAGAZINE landing page, or via digital posts.
In addition to the Survey, our latest CR-Connect Dealer Tour takes us to Charlotte, NC and a virtual visit with Jason Habbal of Vision Office Systems. We are on a mission to broaden our dealer tour coverage to include dealers of all sizes, not just mid-size and mega dealers, and Vision Office Systems is an excellent example of a smaller dealer thriving in its local community and beyond.
Also in this issue you’ll learn about the latest initiatives from Epson and Lexmark, how Impact Networking is growing its marketing services offering, tips for preparing your dealership for sale, and a celebration of Centric Business Systems 30th Anniversary.
