In an earlier edition of IT Tuesdays, I wrote about current and future MSP regulation based on a presentation by Ben Nowacky, SVP of product, Axcient, during ConnectWise’s ITNation Secure conference in June. During his presentation, Nowacky suggested that MSPs recommend that their clients take advantage of free or paid cybersecurity courses that can help train them and highlight risks. As Nowacky pointed out, this reinforces the MSP’s business development representative’s recommendations and statistics surrounding cyberattacks.
Sources identified by Nowacky include:
- Cybrary is a free online library offering close to 500 courses.
- Small Business Administration (SBA) offers free, self-paced, online cybersecurity training for small businesses as well as additional resources.
- Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) offers free online breakdowns of CISA Cyber Essentials, which are designed for leadership to build cyber readiness.
