We join Kyocera Document Solutions America in standing up for racial justice and doing the right thing as human beings.
It’s no secret that The Cannata Group/The Cannata Report, along with everyone that works here, are fervent advocates for diversity. Despite our mission to promote diversity and inclusion across our platforms, channels, and events, we know that we can be doing more and that we still have a long way to go.
We rarely speak out about current events, in alignment with the rest of our industry. But today, silence is not an option. We are deeply troubled and outraged by the recent events sweeping our nation. Today we were inspired to raise our voice for racial equality and racial justice after watching a video of Oscar Sanchez, president & CEO of Kyocera Document Solutions America speaking out for what is right during these troubling times. The Kyocera way is anchored by a philosophy of “Do the right thing as human beings,” and Sanchez couldn’t drive that perspective home in a more professional, polished and sincere manner as he does in this video.
His message in support of human decency is spot on, and we sincerely hope that more companies like Kyocera and true leaders such as Sanchez lend their voices to the fight for racial equality and racial justice.
I want to be perfectly clear, this is not a political issue, but a stand against racism and oppression. This is an issue we feel strongly about and it should unite us rather than divide us.
We applaud Kyocera and Oscar Sanchez for their character and courage to speak out, and we join them in raising our voice as well.
