Carol, CJ, and I were invited to an Open House at Shore Business Solutions’ new Wall, New Jersey location. Shore is a Konica Minolta and Sharp dealer owned by Chris and Danielle Wolowitz, whom we admire and respect for multiple reasons. Primarily, they are very professional in their approach to business. CJ and I had firsthand experience with Danielle from the period she worked with Kyocera. We met Chris after they acquired the dealership and have come to know him quite well.
We were escorted on a tour of the new facility and, knowing how long they had been in business (only six years!), what they have accomplished is truly special and even unique. Please allow me to summarize: Chris Wolowitz purchased a Sharp dealer in 2019 and, Danielle joined him in the business in 2020. We all know what happened after that—THE PANDEMIC. They weathered that and have grown a dealership with less than $2 million in revenue to a dealership with $8 million. After six years, they moved a short distance into a beautiful office with a demo area, warehouse, and offices for everyone.

The Wolowitzs and Shore Business Solutions’ new HQ open house was important enough for Sharp and Konica Minolta senior executives to attend. Laura Blackmer and Phil Boatman from Konica Minolta were there, and Bob Madaio and Dino Pagliarello from Sharp attended, along with sales representatives from both OEMs. In addition, representatives from GreatAmerica Financial Services, Shore Business Solutions’ main leasing provider, also were in attendance.
Shore Business Solutions’ growth is quite an amazing accomplishment, and I still must question how these two did it. They took a business and increased the revenue four times over six years while everyone else struggled. This is a great triumph from two young and incredibly talented people.
We jumped from being guests at the open house into our journalist mode and asked questions that gave us an excellent understanding of how they achieved their remarkable growth and expansion. As for experience and business knowledge, we learned that Chris had worked for Ricoh for 17 years before moving into the dealer world for a half-dozen years. So, he had 25 years of experience on both sides of the business before purchasing Shore.
In Danielle’s case, she worked for Ricoh for four and a half years and then Kyocera for 15 years. She then joined Chris at Shore in 2020. So, we have two people with 45 years of experience acquiring a dealership; they immediately began putting their plans together.

Konica Minolta was added as a manufacturer in 2023 because Chris knows the production business, and Sharp did not offer it then. Together with Sharp, Shore Business Solutions now has two manufacturers that complement each other quite well.
We asked Chris and Danielle what they attribute their success to—how did they grow the business four times in revenue over a six-year period? “Perseverance, diversification, and training from the ground up,” was their response. “We expanded our team from single digits to over 30 employees as of March 2025.”
Our last question for the Wolowitzs was to ask what their plans are going forward: What’s the next step they want to take? “We want to continue expansion in NJ as a premier office solutions provider through deeper penetration in existing accounts by employing diversified offerings. We will consider acquisitions as a growth catalyst and continued development of our team both in numbers and in scope of capabilities.”
We look forward to learning more about Shore Business Solutions as they continue to execute their marketing and sales efforts. Their success serves as a wake-up call for anyone who believes the copier/printer business is not a good business to be in today. We hope that in their own way, Chris and Danielle Wolowitz and their story can demonstrate to other dealers how to get it done.
