The ITEX Education & Exposition (ITEX) trade show, set to be held on April 14 and 15 in Orlando, announced today it has been postponed due to impacts caused by the recent outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The trade show’s organizers decided to postpone the annual event following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advising against gatherings of 50 people or more and the White House recommending people not to gather in groups of ten or more this week.
Marc Spring, founder and CEO of ITEX, states, “The decision to postpone ITEX’s 20th Anniversary event has been a difficult one to make, and I apologize for the delay in the announcement. However, it is unavoidable, as the health, safety, and well-being of the show’s sponsors, attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and staff is our primary concern.”
New dates for the show will be determined once more information from state and federal officials, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the state of COVID-19, both domestically and internationally, becomes available. Spring continues, “We appreciate our industry’s understanding and support of this decision and look forward to putting on a fantastic event at a later date.”
