Tigerpaw Software has named managed print services industry expert West McDonald its new vice president of Business Development.
“We are committed to revolutionizing the managed print/office equipment space,’ says Tigerpaw President & CEO James Foxall. “In order to do that it was important to us that we bring DNA from the industry into Tigerpaw. West’s track record and reputation as a thought leader caused him to always be on our radar. When he became a free agent, it was an absolute no-brainer to approach him about becoming part of our team.”
McDonald said the workplace atmosphere at Tigerpaw Software as well as the company’s focus on the convergence of technology services attracted him to this role.
“The experience I had with Tigerpaw as a partner was incredible. The people, the culture, the vibe is very team-focused, and that’s how I like to work,” McDonald says. “Tigerpaw is poised to help both office equipment dealers and managed IT providers make a lot of money through convergence. The future of both spaces hinges on a business management system that can master both industries.”
In his new role at Tigerpaw Software, McDonald will continue to share the need for and importance of offering converged services to partners and customers from the entire technology services industry, including A/V, managed IT, office equipment, security, telephony and two-way radio. His main responsibilities will include establishing and enhancing relationships with strategic partners, assisting in the refinement of product offering and positioning, representing Tigerpaw at industry events and creating educational content in the form of webinars, blog posts and how-to guides.
“West shares our passion for convergence,” Foxall says. “He understands that to survive, let alone thrive, technology service providers need to expand their offerings. At Tigerpaw Software, West will be able to help guide our product and service offerings to help position us as the absolute best option for automating a technology business.”
