We are more than halfway through the month of January and the imaging industry news cycle keeps churning. The most prolific news generators so far are Konica Minolta and Canon U.S.A. with three announcements each through January 15. Many of the announcements during this time are awards announcements, which readers may or may not give much credence to, especially if it is not one of their vendors. Still, we congratulate those award winners even if most of those are often not the most significant industry news announcements so far.
Looking back at the first two weeks of January, here’s what we at The Cannata Report consider the top imaging industry news stories of 2021 so far.
January 4 – Impact Networking Expands into Northeast Wisconsin
January 14 – ConnectWise Announces Three Key Executive Appointments
January 7 – Ricoh Announces New Series of Monochrome MFPs
January 6 – Konica Minolta Enters into Distribution Agreement with Loadbalancer.org
January 6 – Canon U.S.A. Customer Service Center Certified for Excellence
Admittedly, the imaging industry is off to a slow start from a news perspective, but we expect to see things pick up dramatically as we move deeper into the year.
Finally, not a news release, a recent Fridays with Frank video segment, Fridays with Frank: Secret Agent Man. It’s a great story, don’t miss it!
