Wow, what a month!
Let’s give thanks to November for providing us with a bounty of big stories. As if there were not enough big stories throughout the year already.
The dominant story of the month was Xerox and HP. The problem with that story, similar to the Xerox story of a year ago was that it is so fluid. Things continue to change on daily and no sooner do we publish something, then there’s a new development such as Xerox making an offer to acquire HP and then HP rejecting it. And now the threat of a hostile takeover. That story is still developing.
That may have been the biggest story of the month even though it’s still a story with no end, there’s so many more. That’s why we are expanding our list of top stories to 12. We had plenty of acquisitions (real ones), some notable personnel announcements, a few big events, including our Annual Awards & Charities Dinner, and the usual assortment of new product announcements.
As we continue to do with our monthly recaps, let’s start with the acquisition-related news.
