Second Bind, has partnered with PrintReleaf in order to certifiably reforest 100% of the books they resell.
Second Bind is an online reseller of secondhand textbooks and the first book reseller in the world to partner with PrintReleaf. The company will be integrating PrintReleaf’s API into their online order workflow to automatically track paper consumption associated with each sale.
“PrintReleaf’s certified global reforestation projects and modern API are a perfect combination to drive positive environmental impact for Second Bind, our customers, and the planet. We are ready to lift our company to the next level– and reforestation through technology is a positive step to accelerate the growth of our business …and the world’s forests…at the same time.” Says Erica Anari, CEO of Second Bind.
Reforesting at a rate of 8,333 sheets of paper per standard tree, PrintReleaf’s patented technology measures total paper consumption and converts that total into an equivalent number of trees which are then automatically and certifiably planted around the world.
Jordan Darragh, founder and CEO of PrintReleaf states, “Our partnership with Second Bind opens a new category for PrintReleaf to begin working with printers, publishers and resellers in the book industry. We’re grateful that Second Bind saw the value to integrate and automate with PrintReleaf and we look forward to planting trees with them and their customers around the world.”
