Mimaki USA, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, today announced the Mimaki UJV300DTF-75 printer, a UV-DTF (direct to film) printer model for easy transfer to large or unusually shaped surfaces. The UJV300DTF-75 printer will be displayed in the Mimaki USA booth #3536 at the ISA Sign Expo, April 23-25, in Las Vegas.

The fusion of Mimaki’s long-cultivated UV printing technology, newly developed film transport system, and next-generation inks will greatly expand the possibilities of the made-to-order goods business.
UV-DTF is a transfer printing method using a dedicated film using a four-step process: (1) print a design on specialized film, (2) press the transfer sheet onto the printed surface; (3) transfer the design to the object along with the transfer sheet; and (4) peel off the transfer sheet. The finished product is ready for delivery without the need for set-up or extensive manual intervention.
Key features of the UJV300DTF-75 printer
• Designed specifically for UV-DTF printing. Purpose-built for UV-DTF applications, the UJV300DTF-75 printer uses a specialized film system that enables easy transfer onto large or unusually shaped surfaces, which is difficult with traditional methods.
• Fewer manual touchpoints for optimized production. Only the printed design transfers to the object, eliminating the need for manual weeding as with sticker sheets, saving time and labor costs, and improving throughput.
• Stable film handling with a proprietary feed mechanism. Mimaki’s custom silicon pinching rollers prevent the adhesive-backed film from being damaged, ensuring smooth and consistent media transport—an industry pain point for UV-DTF workflows. Thin and delicate transfer sheets can be loaded with a one-touch operation, making the machine user-friendly even for beginners

The UJV300DTF-75 is equipped with newly developed Mimaki original UV curable ink that combines hard and flexible inks to achieve both printing strength and flexibility, without compromising durability. It is GREENGUARD GOLD certified, making it an environmentally and health-conscious product.

The UJV300DTF-75 printer delivers the high image quality and stability found in the UCJV300 Series UV inkjet printers, including:
• Variable Dot Technology optimizes ink droplet size for smooth color reproduction and fine line details and delivers exceptional print quality.
• Mimaki Circulation Technology continuously circulates ink at regular intervals to prevent settling and achieve a stable ink delivery for optimized throughput.
• Nozzle Check Unit automatically monitors the performance of the printhead and detects clogged nozzles for continued productivity.
• The Anti-Collision Sensor prevents collision between the printhead and the film to prevent malfunctions due to operation errors for improved throughput.
Availability
The 25-inch (650 mm) wide Mimaki UJV300DTF-75 printer along with new Mimaki original UV-LED ELS-170 inks in Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow, and ELG-100 ink in White/Clear is expected to be available for order from authorized Mimaki representatives beginning in the second quarter of 2025.
