Marketing Alliance Group and Landa Digital Printing announced that MAG’s second Landa Nanographic Printing press, the Landa S11, has been installed at the company’s Paramount Printing facility. One of North America’s largest display and visual merchandising service companies with 13 plants located in the US, MAG is a one-stop design, production and fulfillment provider for Fortune 100 retail and manufacturing brands’ instore environments.
The new S11 press, boosted with the Landa PrintAI module, will support MAG’s expanding health and beauty segment business. The S11 digitally produces 6,500 B1 sheets per hour (SPH), with an optional upgrade to run at 11,200 SPH. The company’s first Landa press is running at full capacity in the company’s flooring production facility, where it is used to produce sample boards, displays, and labeling for national home improvement and flooring manufacturers.
The decision to purchase the S11 was straightforward, according to MAG’s Chief Operating Officer, Landon Hair. “We needed more capacity, and we attended drupa 2024 with an open mind,” he says. “However, none of the emerging technologies we saw could compete. It was really a no-brainer for us to put in a second Landa press.”
Landa presses utilize the unique Landa Nanographic Printing process to deliver an unparalleled combination of speed, sustainability, B1 format, easy integration, and support for the widest range of paper and board media, whether coated or uncoated and with no pre-treatment required. Landa presses are also renowned for producing over 96% of spot colors with superior accuracy and repeatability from sheet to sheet, job to job and press to press – regardless of location. Additionally, Landa presses boast near-zero waste and makeready.
“It’s not like they just introduced that first press and said, ‘all right, this is good’. They’re never satisfied,” Hair says of Landa. “They always think there’s something new, and they continue to innovate and push the boundaries of print.”
Says Landa’s Vice President of the S11 Product Line, Yarden Ben Dor, “The new PrintAI module furthers our capabilities across these applications; so much so that we believe the combination of these solutions is bound to set a new benchmark for unparalleled production quality and precision.”
“Our feedback is taken seriously by Landa’s product development teams,” Hair says. “The fact is, we have what I consider a true partnership, where Landa has provided dedicated, onsite service and training support until we could fly on our own, which we now do. It’s a first class service operation.”
Says Ben Dor, “One of our earliest customers, Marketing Alliance is a multifaceted operation that extended the use of our capabilities from the outset by choosing to use its first Landa press, the S10, for industrial applications”. He goes on to say that this decision required Landa technology to perform under a new set of conditions, leading to an even stronger, more flexible, and improved press platform.
Of MAG’s decision to install the S11 with PrintAI to handle MAG’s health and beauty work, Ben Dor says, “We’re very excited, because health and beauty applications will highlight Landa presses’ extraordinary capabilities in reproducing accurate color and stunning imagery—key elements in the increasingly immersive, experiential selling environments that health and beauty brands are prioritizing.
“Congratulations to Landon and the amazing Marketing Alliance team on entering this next, exciting phase in the company’s journey. We are proud to be partners, and to contribute to MAG’s ongoing success.”
