Epson is teaming up with Loftware and 3M to offer direction on how to simplify compliance with FDA, customer, ISO, and quality guideline requirements using tools and technology to help ensure accurate barcodes and the required customer and regulatory information. The “Tools for Creating Compliant, Amazing Labels for Medical Devices and Life Sciences” webinar will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m. PT.
“Labeling within the medical and life sciences industries is inherently complicated and companies often find themselves overwhelmed with multiple labeling processes and databases,” said Andrew Moore, product manager, Commercial Label Printers, Epson America, Inc. “This webinar will provide insight from labeling industry leaders on how to simplify the process to easily print on-demand labels using Epson’s ColorWorks® desktop printers, 3M’s Durable Label materials for medical applications and Loftware Enterprise Labeling solutions.”
The webinar will include direction on how to add efficiency and create a compliant labeling process, how to enable traceability across the supply chain, and ways to overcome the challenges of kitting and postponement labeling. Participants will learn about suitable inkjet label materials, labels that endure sterilization, and network administration tools for enterprise management. Loftware’s Enterprise Labeling solutions, as well as 3M’s Durable Label materials integrate with Epson’s ColorWorks label printers, creating a comprehensive labeling process that can streamline and simplify compliant labeling.
“While compliance is a “must do” for life sciences companies, many don’t realize that it presents an opportunity for process improvement that can deliver significant benefits,” said Laura Johnson, Loftware director of sales for Life Sciences. “At Loftware, we help companies place a focus on uncovering new ways to drive efficiencies and reduce errors as part of a compliance effort – and the payoff is significant. They end up with a more agile labeling process that reduces costs and allows them to respond quickly to changing customer and regulatory requirements while speeding time-to-market,” she added.
Loftware Spectrum redefines how life sciences companies create, manage and print labels, enabling them to meet rigorous regulatory requirements like UDI, EU MDR and 21 CFR Part 11 as they seamlessly implement, deploy, maintain and scale their labeling operations globally. 3M’s Durable Label materials for medical applications are designed for a range of traditionally challenging labels such as those with tight radiuses or small diameters, flexible surfaces, hard-to-stick-to LSE materials, and more.
