Datamax has been named among the “Best Places to Work in Arkansas” for the seventh straight year. Organized by Arkansas Business in partnership with the Workforce Research Group, this survey-based awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in Arkansas in benefitting the state’s economy, workforce, and businesses.
Simon says that this recent recognition demonstrates the long-term consistency in which Datamax prioritizes company culture, as well as employee feedback and well-being.
“Not only am I honored and excited about being named “Best Places to Work” for seven straight years. To me, it’s more about all of our employees. I want to thank them for their open and honest feedback and for enabling Datamax to win this year after year,” Simon said.
Employee surveys continue to play a large role in the decision-making process of winners. Part one of the program consists of an employer assessment where the Workforce Research Group captures details about policies and practices. Part two consists of the Employee Feedback Survey where employees’ opinions about their workplace experience are captured.
Simon says these surveys are a wonderful opportunity to reassess where the company stands with its people and processes.
“As you continuously look at your company and your people, you always have to look at how you are doing. You have to ask yourself the question: Are We Creating Raving Fans of our employees? Are we making them feel like we listen and we respond to their requests or concerns?” Simon said. “If someone does have issues, we address them, and then we make the decision that’s best for our entire organization.”
To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity;
- Be a publicly or privately held business;
- Have a facility in Arkansas;
- Have at least 15 employees in Arkansas;
- Be in business for a minimum of 1 year.
Winners will be honored in a special publication and at a special awards event hosted by Arkansas
Business in September 2023.
“Creating a great workplace where employees are eager to give their best effort every day is challenging. Being named to the list demonstrates that your organization has what it takes to retain and recruit a highly engaged workforce,” said Emily Zerbe, program coordinator with the Workforce Research Group.
