New security portfolio offers more than 30 different layers of protection.
Collabrance, a GreatAmerica IT company, and Top 100 MSSP, has announced a new cybersecurity offering for MSPs. The Collabrance Master MSSP offering provides end-user customers with a host of cybersecurity components, and can reportedly help progressive solution providers differentiate in the IT channel.
As the IT channel evolves, so have Collabrance’s cybersecurity offerings.
“From our perspective, obviously, in the industry today, security is at the forefront,” said Corey Kerns, Collabrance vice president and general manager. “Today, especially in the SME (Small and Medium Size Enterprises) space, they are being attacked more often than we think. Being able to provide them a solution that helps mitigate the risk””no solution in the world is going to 100% protect us””but from our perspective, if we’re able to go to help our channel partners, the seasoned service partners, offer a solution to help their own customers overcome these security issues, that’s big.”
Collabrance’s new offering offers more than 30 different layers to ensure solution providers can offer a solution to help a customer acquire the cybersecurity services they seek or need. Kerns provides a few examples, including high-level protection on the perimeter, making sure the customer’s environment is being protected from incoming and outgoing traffic and unified threat management. In addition, there are multiple layers around the perimeter protection, as well as advanced endpoint protection is also known as EDR (endpoint detection response).
“The way to describe that is advanced antivirus, to be able to make sure that if something does get into the environment that it’s able to be detected and quarantined,” said Kerns.
Because an organization’s employees are considered the biggest vulnerability, the ability to provide a security awareness training platform that educates the users about ransomware and the latest ransomware attacks, and which includes email phishing simulations, is another key element of this offering.
“Continuing to educate the users is a big value add to a lot of customers that are cost-effective and ultimately needs to happen because it’s the biggest vulnerability in most places,” said Kerns. “Users clicking on things that they shouldn’t.”
Although Collabrance has been proactive in developing this offering, Kerns reported that end-users and MSPs are asking for advanced security offerings in the wake of all this publicity around the latest cybersecurity threats.
All IT products, services, and solutions are vetted by a dedicated Collabrance product development team who also manage vendor partnerships and continuously progress the technology roadmap to ensure solutions proactively meet the needs of MSPs and their SMB customers. The company expects to release additional MSSP offerings in the coming months.
