Chip Miceli, CEO of Pulse Technology served as a panelist at the 2023 BTA National Conference held in late August in Boston.
Hosted by BTA East and BTA Mid-America, the two-day conference included many presentations, vendor exhibits, and a panel on diversification in the industry. Mr. Miceli served as a panelist for the diversification panel.
“Diversification in our industry is critical to the survival of dealerships,” he told the dealers who had traveled all over the country to Boston for the convention. “Our industry has seen some major changes and the dealers who adapt to diversifying their products and offerings are the ones who will thrive in the future.”
Mr. Miceli mentioned that, with the effects of Covid-19 and the emergence of hybrid and work from home environments, the print part of the industry suffered and dealers needed to diversify to stay strong. “MPS was a strong part of the business of office dealers for many years, but the forward-looking ones are adding other services to their business, including Managed Network (IT), software sales, and document management, to name a few.”
He added, “I found the BTA Conference to be very worthwhile; I enjoyed hearing the presenters, seeing the exhibitors, and am grateful for the chance to be part of the panel.”
