Analyst firm Keypoint Intelligence has awarded Toshiba America Business Solutions with the Buyers Lab 2020–2021 PaceSetter award in Logistics. Keypoint Intelligence also awarded Toshiba the prestigious honor in 2018–2019.
Buyers Lab PaceSetter awards recognize document imaging OEMs that have shown market leadership in a variety of categories, including technologies, services, and key vertical markets.
“Toshiba’s unrivaled portfolio of thermal barcode printers, traditional MFPs and printers, and specialty hardware enables logistics operations to keep product moving,” said Jamie Bsales, director of Smart Workplace & Security Analysis at Keypoint Intelligence. “When paired with Toshiba’s workflow software and partnerships, digital signage technology, and 24/7 tech support and consulting expertise, it becomes clear they provide a whole package for efficiently and effectively managing shipping and warehouse activity.”
Keypoint Intelligence conducted an evaluation of logistics-related products and services from digital imaging OEMs to determine Toshiba’s market leadership in this area. More than 60 points of differentiation were considered, across such vital categories as MFP hardware, other hardware, service & support, professional services, security, and market leadership.
Keypoint Intelligence particularly recognized the Toshiba hardware portfolio’s capability to fulfill wide-ranging logistics applications. Toshiba’s industry-recognized e‑STUDIO multifunction printers (MFPs) and thermal barcode printers are designed and engineered to withstand the environmental challenges found within logistics settings.
A touchscreen overlay for dust protection, steel rails in paper trays, reinforced hinges on document feeders and doors fortify Toshiba e-STUDIO devices. Toshiba’s Elevate customizable user interface – embedded in e-STUDIO systems – is another significant innovation. The platform enables individual employees as well as entire departments to automate routine workflows.
Toshiba thermal barcode printers’ robust and ruggedized elements drive further efficiency and effectiveness. The manufacturer’s portable printers combine a stout design with IP54 dust and moisture protection as well as proven five-foot drop-resistance helping ensure continuous operation in rough-and-tumble environments. Metal frames and sturdy components underscore the durability and value that Toshiba’s industrial barcode printers offer today’s logistics professionals.
Toshiba’s industry-recognized Encompass Print as a Service program supporting Toshiba MFPs and other OEM’s A4 MFP devices was another important element in award selection. Toshiba is also the only A3 manufacturer extending its print as a service offering to include thermal barcode printers.
Keypoint Intelligence also gave Toshiba’s interactive digital signage high grades. Beyond communicating key safety information to personnel working in warehouses, distribution centers and on loading docks, the technology facilitates order fulfillment, incident tracking as well as packing and shipping. Round-the-clock tech support and on-site professional services were other determining factors in Toshiba winning the Buyers Lab 2020–2021 PaceSetter award in Logistics.
“It is again a distinct honor to receive the Buyers Lab PaceSetter award in Logistics,” said Toshiba America Business Solutions Vice President of Marketing Bill Melo. “Toshiba delivers MFPs, thermal barcode printers and digital signage solutions to meet logistics’ stringent needs. It gratifies our team knowing Toshiba products and services equip logistics professionals across North and South America with the tools to successfully complete their responsibilities.”
