Kyocera Document Solutions America, Inc. announced that it has been certified as a Great Place To Work for a second consecutive year.
Backed by more than 30 years of research into employee satisfaction, Great Place To Work Certification recognizes employers who create an outstanding employee experience. It is awarded after a rigorous survey process that extends way beyond the raw data, incorporating real statements of current employees.
This year, a whopping 79% of those surveyed voted Kyocera to be a Great Place To Work, a result which represents a six-point increase compared to 2022. It also puts Kyocera 22% ahead of the average US company.
As part of the Great Place To Work’s Trust Index survey, some of the most common words used by employees to describe working at Kyocera included “people,” “family,” “care,” and “team.” Meanwhile, 85% of those surveyed said that they felt a sense of pride when reflecting on accomplishments. 91% stated that they can take time off from work when they think it’s necessary. These sentiments underline two conclusions: Kyocera is a great place for talent, and it’s a place where employee well-being matters. It demonstrates how the philosophy of doing the right thing as a human being influences all facets of the organization.
“That our people once again regard Kyocera as a family, a workplace where they feel valued and taken care of, is something that fills me with a huge sense of pride,” said Óscar Sánchez, president & CEO of Kyocera Document Solutions America, Inc. “This familial bond and our unique mix of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences have allowed us to emerge from a period of profound change in our industry as a stronger organization. And the fact that an even greater number voted Kyocera as a Great Place To Work this time around is tremendously gratifying.”
Reflecting on the award, Natalie Cumberbatch, vice president of Human Resources, alluded to another element of the Kyocera philosophy: “Our founder Dr. Inamori once said that ‘no great feat is accomplished overnight. It is always a step-by-step accumulation of tedious endeavors.’ Likewise, this award was the result of a huge team effort from the entire organization. At Kyocera, we all play our part,” she said.
“This has been a very challenging period in all our lives, both personal and professional, but these results illustrate the value of giving people the tools and opportunity to grow professionally, while putting in place the support networks for when they are needed. For us, doing the right thing matters. We’re already working on strategies to earn the three-peat!” she concluded.
Collecting this award for a second consecutive year consolidates one of the world’s leading names in document management and printing solutions as a place that puts its people first. Kyocera is officially, once again, a Great Place To Work.
