The Customer Education Management Association announced that printing technology company Electronics For Imaging is the recipient of the CEdMA 2021 Impact Award for their impact in making their educational resources and content more accessible to their channel partners that sell EFI Fiery digital front end print servers and related digital printing software.
Moving from in-person delivery to remote was a challenge they took on like most Customer Education companies had to do, but the impact the transition had for EFI and its channel partners was significant. The company was able to utilize its existing online educational framework, and a change in pricing was temporarily instituted to help incentivize learners, and acknowledge the hardships many companies faced during the pandemic. The result was their 2020 Fiery Partner Campaign, designed to both promote the value of Fiery certification programs and to make their community aware of the opportunity to gain this professional achievement at no cost for a limited time during the pandemic.
The CEdMA Impact Award seeks to recognize a CEdMA member company that shows a demonstrable impact from their customer education program to their company results.
Milind Gurjar, CEdMA president and president of talent-ed, commented, “The COVID-19 pandemic upended lives, companies and communities. CEdMA member organizations are still feeling its impact in different ways and are looking to make informed decisions on how to manage the lasting effects, address accelerating digital transformation, and meet societal and stakeholder expectations. The pandemic ravaged the live training business and forced our peers and colleagues at CEdMA to look for innovative methods to upskill and reskill the workforce to sustain the momentum of digital transformation. The EFI education team’s work showcases the strategic impact Education Services can have on organizations. The team was able to increase partner affinity and loyalty, and improve Customer Net Promotor Scores through a well-conceived and well executed program. CEdMA is happy to recognize EFI as this year’s Impact Award winner.”
The work that the EFI did demonstrated that educational services can have an impact in a technology company’s overall bottom line. It is exciting to recognize EFI as this year’s Impact Award winner.
“Every innovation we implement into our Fiery portfolio is only effective if it can be installed well, with the training and support available to ensure optimal usage. One of the things that sets EFI Fiery solutions apart is our strong belief believe in education. It is the reason why we have so many courses available,” said Toby Weiss, senior vice president and general manager, EFI Fiery. “Our Fiery business unit is channel driven, with thousands of partners, and because we could quickly mobilize our existing, advanced learning platform, we could effectively reach all of these partners in a campaign that has generated better partner loyalty and improved outcomes in user experience.”
