Konica Minolta Japan showcases U.S. case studies of the AccurioJet KM-1e for its Japanese customers.
Recently, Konica Minolta Japan held an online seminar for Japanese customers to promote the 29-inch sheet-fed UV inkjet AccurioJet KM-1e. The session, “Digital Print Can Be Utilized More,” included the latest overseas case studies and discussions of the product’s new features. Two of the three case studies were U.S. companies—PostcardMania in Clearwater, Florida, and FolderWorks, a division of Navitor, in North Mankato, Minnesota.
PostcardMania
PostcardMania creates highly effective direct mail marketing campaigns. For example, when producing postcards for a dentist, it prints the mailing pieces and tracks appointments booked via the campaign to monitor its success. PostcardMania is expanding its templates based on the results of these integrated marketing campaigns. PostcardMania handles the security of all the data collected so its customers can concentrate on their core business without worrying about their customer’s information being stolen.
PostcardMania has a wide variety of products and hundreds of templates. Because the Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1e can print as soon as data is available and send to post-processing as it is received, this reduces inventory and shortens lead time. As a result, PostcardMania makes full use of digital variability and on-demand properties, as well as various base material suitability and quick-drying characteristics unique to the AccurioJet KM-1e, to produce and deliver a variety of products to customers.
FolderWorks, a Division of Navitor
FolderWorks manufacturers a variety of folder templates—including folders, folded cartons, and paper table tents—allowing for fast turnaround and shipping within 24 hours. This shorter lead time allows the purchaser to review the required quantity until the last minute, eliminating the need for extra orders, resulting in lower costs and less inventory.
The AccurioJet KM-1e can print simplex or duplex depending on the job, satisfying the demand for short lead time delivery. The base material can also be shared with offset. Because the quality of the AccurioJet KM-1e is equivalent to offset and is compatible with an array of base materials that do not require pre-coating, it provides great value to seamlessly use the printer along with offset on a lot basis. For FolderWorks, the strength of the AccurioJet KM-1e is that they can use it in combination with offset.
These two case studies showcase positive experiences not only for the purchaser of the equipment, but for their customer’s end users. Another benefit was enhanced communications with customers regarding PostcardMania’s and FolderWorks’ for commitment to improving the quality of the output and the overall customer experience.
