Here we are in May, and to get us started in what will be a busy month, Frank and I are headed to Houston to attend Stargel Office Solutions’ Take IT Back technology show at Minute Maid Park, where we’ll present an overview of the history of the industry we’re all so fortunate to be a part of. Capping off the night, we’ll be watching the World Champion Astros play the Kansas City Royals, along with the over 600 attendees expected at the event. The next day of our stay in Space City has us moderating a panel of manufacturers at Select Dealer Group’s meeting. We are pleased to have representatives from Konica Minolta (Sam Errigo), HP (Ken Thibault), Kyocera (Oscar Sanchez), Ricoh (Jim Coriddi), Sharp (Mike Marusic), and Toshiba (Scott Maccabe) join us at SDG’s gathering.
Next, I’m flying solo on the 16th for another stop on our CR Connect: 2019 Dealer Tour, sponsored by Leaf Commercial Capital, to visit with Chip Miceli and the team at the newly rebranded Pulse Technology. I’m looking forward to attending PT’s Open House 2019: Presenting the Office of the Future event in Chesterton, Indiana.
In June, look for our 6th Annual Young Influencers issue, something that is particluarly important to me as it was the first themed issue I introduced after joining The Cannata Report. Our collective group of Young Influencers from the past six years has impressed us all with their accomplishments and their ascendency into key leadership roles.
A final reminder to those who have yet to take our Annual Dealer Survey: The OEMs rely on the data from our Survey so please make sure to share your insights ASAP. And remember, the Survey is also your way to acknowledge the executives in the industry you think are the very best at what they do, so please cast your votes for the 2019 Frank Awards.
Rewind: We are overwhelmed by how our colleagues at GreatAmerica and Kyocera celebrated Frank’s birthday. GreatAmerica’s David Pohlman, Jennie Fisher, and Lindsay Bohon kicked off the festivities with a dinner in Frank’s honor, and the following day, Kyocera’s Oscar Sanchez and Danielle Wolowitz went all out with a birthday surprise, featuring card girls, confetti, and a sparkling birthday cake. I hope the photos in this month’s CLICK convey just how special it was for Frank and all of us at The Cannata Report.
See you on the road.
