Above: The American Co-op Spring meeting took place at Eakes Office Solutions in Grand Island, Nebraska. Fifteen dealers, six representatives from Eakes, and four sponsor companies attended the meeting. Sponsors included Noel O’Dwyer of Intermedia Cloud Communications, Emily Rodriguez of Hytec Dealer Services, Bob Gentzler of ConnectWise, and Phil Boatman of Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. American Coo-p caps membership at 22-23 dealers, allowing the group to meet at the host dealer’s office.
The three-day event covered a variety of topics, including production trends and best practices, diversification strategies, MSP best practices, managed print best practices, and business management best practices. Diversification strategies were also a hot topic.
Paul McKinney of Eakes shares the dealership’s best practices with the group’s members. According to his colleague Bob Evans, “I have learned as much from the presentations on the host dealer’s organization, processes and best practices, the tour of their office and meeting with their managers and staff as I have from any discussions of industry trends or topics. I always bring back something from visiting the host dealer’s office that I can incorporate into my dealership.”
American Co-op is looking to add dealers to fill certain areas of the country, notably those lost through acquisitions and mergers. Dealers can contact Bob Evans (bobevans@function-4.com) for more information.
ConnectWise’s Bob Gentzler discusses MSP best practices, a topic of interest for American Coop members.
Guest speaker Clete Blakeman, NFL referee and attorney, shared his experiences and lessons learned on and off the football field.
